INJECTABLES PRE TREATMENT ADVICE

- Discontinue blood-thinning medication for 7 days prior to treatment as they may increase your risk of bruising. This includes; aspirin and ibuprofen (if any medication has been prescribed, check with your doctor first before stopping).


- Avoid herbal supplements such as garlic, vitamin E, ginko biloba, St. John’s Wort and omega-3 capsules.

- Avoid using topical products such as Tretinoin (Retin-A), Retinols, Retinoids, Glycolic Acid, Alpha Hydroxy Acid etc. for 3 days prior to treatment.

- Avoid facial laser and microneedling treatments for 2 weeks before and after treatment.

- Do not drink alcohol 24 hours before (and after) the procedure.

- Please attend your appointment without makeup on the area to be treated.

- Arnica tablets can be taken to reduce the risk of bruising (start taking 2-3 days before appointment).

- Ensure you have had something substantial to eat before your appointment to decrease the chances of lightheadedness during your treatment.

- Please complete all medical questionnaires before attending appointment. 

WHO IS UNSUITABLE FOR TREATMENT?

THOSE UNSUITABLE FOR DERMAL FILLER INCLUDE:

- Those under the age of 18
- Active infection near the site of injection (i.e. cold sores)
- Known allergy/hypersensitivity to dermal filler or to lidocaine
- Pregnant or breastfeeding
- Those with abnormal bleeding (e.g. haemophilia, thrombocytopenia)

THOSE UNSUITABLE FOR ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS INCLUDE:

- Those under the age of 18
- Active infection near the site of injection
- Known allergy/hypersensitivity to botulinum toxin A
- Pregnant or breastfeeding
